I LOVE getting mail and I especially love getting letters in the mail from friends and family that
I don't see very often. This month in Language Arts, we will learn how to write
a friendly letter. We will read books about people writing and receiving
letters and about the men and women that deliver our mail...our local postal workers.
Some of the books we will read are "Dear Primo" by Duncan Tonatiuh and "The Jolly Postman"
by Janet and Allen Ahlberg and my two favorites, "Dear Peter Rabbit"
and "Yours Truly, Goldilocks" by Alma Flor Ada. You will get to write to someone you know
who you don't get to see very often. I am really looking forward to
this activity!!! I hope you are, too.
